WE MADE IT TO THE TOP OF THE VOLCANO!

Once we reached the top of the volcano, we were sweating, dirty and a little hungry. None of that mattered though because of the view! IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING SITE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!!!!

It was a bit scary to be up so high....we were way above the clouds and the steepness was unreal. I told the group that if my mother knew what I was climbing that she would ground me for life!!!

We were able to see 4 eruptions from the volcano below us and wewatched the sunset. It was unbelieveable!!!!!

The hike down was insane. It was black....no lights except for our own headlamp. I put my light on wrong and was shining in the sky. duh! Sanda laughed and quickly fixed it because I could not see anything. I was walking in circles saying "Sanda, my light is not working!"

The hike down was not only dark but it was STEEP, dusty and ashy so when walked down you also kicked up dust. We could notsee athing: We just prayed that solid ground was below us. The downhill was very hard and tiring! We did it though! YEAH!

Please remember that during this entire hike Sanda is in a dress! ha!

We were filthy and exhqusted but it was amazing! We then had to get back into the raft speed boat thing to get back to Salina. We rode in the dark for another hour plus. The stars were out in full force but I didn't see many of them because I fell asleep on our ride back. Yes, sound asleep. Kristin and Lynnie...I know you're laughing. I can sleep anywhere. [but still not as easily as Steph and Marisa can sleep].

It was an awesome experience!!!!!! Of course when Sanda and I arrived back toSalina we saw Andrew, one of the hot Italian guys thatwe haddrinks with the night before! Figures....we zere looking so pretty. UGH!
