Stephanie and I met Joe Macleese, from Ireland, in NYC with Catherine and others from Carr Golf when they visiting. Joe is a very good friend of Carr Golf's and he tells the funniest limericks. We had a hilarious (and drunk) brunch one day at Jean George in NYC with a huge table of Irish men and women. Steph and I have never laughed so much in our lives nor drank so much at a brunch....ever...!!!!!. That will be a brunch not to forget.
Anyway, once Joe heard Steph and I were visiting, he said he must take us to dinner at his golf club. He belongs to Old Portmarnock Golf Club. It's a very distinguished golf club - only men members. Steph and I were invited to dinner and as the New York girls that we are....we wore all black. Shocker. Funny. We were the only females (besides Mary our server) in the entire place. We were also the youngest by 30 years. It was a gorgeous place and a fabulous dinner. Joe's friend Brendan joined us too.
