Lesson Learned and Other Random Things...

1. Ireland and Scotland are beautiful.

2. The people in Ireland and Scotland are extremely nice, funny, warm, outgoing and they can all drink a lot.

3. Even though they are speaking English, Steph and I had to translate what they were saying. The accents were tough.

4. Bars are called pubs.

5. There are pubs on every block....maybe even 2, 3, 4 or even 6, depending on the block.

6. Fish and Chips is a staple....as is Guinness.

7. There are a million shades of green in Ireland. Unbelieveable!

8. Sheep can run in the road and can block traffic....Mom was right...she told me to be careful of sheep and cows in the road. Who would have known? Mom...of course...she's always right.

9. You will experience all 4 seasons in one day in Ireland and Scotland!!!! Be prepared.

10. Always bring your raingear with you....I've said this one a lot.

11. "Fitz" means "son of...."

12. The small airlines let you enter and exit from the front and back of the plane.

13. Many small airlines do not assign seats...you just pick your seat and there is no order at all to when you board the plane. Just be ready.

14. Starbucks has hit Ireland and Scotland.

15. The commercials are hilarious in Ireland and Scotland.

16. The Irish has an awesome sense of humor.

17. The Irish can drink a lot.

18. There are more B&Bs in Killarney Ireland than any other place in the world.

19. Steph likes to take naps....just like Marisa. Maybe it's me....all my travel friends like to nap.

20. Catherine sings in the car.

21. Mom sent me an email telling me to hold onto my purse because robbers may come by and cut the strap off of my purse and run. Thanks Ma.

22. Steph's suitcase and my suitcase weigh exactly the same.

23. Our suitcases were overweight so we had to pay extra....a lot extra!!!!! Cheap flights were now expensive because of our heavy bags!

24. Steph was prepared for the cold weather...I was not. Let's just say everyone saw my long sleeve black shirt a lot!!!

25. The cows in Ireland and Scotland have a colored dot painted on them to show ownership. Some have blue dots, some have red dots...depending on the owner but....Mom told me that it's because the blue dots sheep do "it" with the red dot sheep. Not sure where she got that one, but I think she believes it.

26. The really dark black cows in Ireland produce Guinness. I swear! HA!

27. People in Ireland are so friendly. 3 different people said "good morning" to Steph and me while walking to breakfast...one block away. This would NEVER happen in NY.

28. "Nunc est bibendum" means "Now it's drinking time."

29. Shrek 3 is funny.

30. Be sure to know the address of your hotel before telling the taxi driver.

31. Catherine is a rock star!

32. Steph and I want to be Catherine from Carr Golf one day.

33. Steph and I can drink a lot but not half as much as Catherine!
