We arrived at the lovely (HA!) train station in Prague. It was scary, dirty and not what we expected. Oh well...a new city, a new country, we were excited to be there!
We followed the signs to the "Official Taxi". Perfect, "Official Taxi" will take us to our hotel for an "official rate" of 70 USD OVER WHAT WE SHOULD HAVE PAID! We totally believed him because he had an "official" laminiated card with the prices. Perfect, he's so "official". We even tipped him and thanked him for our great ride to our hotel.
After we did the math, we realized that the a$$hole charged us way too much. We must have looked like the typical tourists. We decided that no one else was going to take advantage of us! No way!
We went to dinner and walked home. We got a little lost walking home and realized at the point that Prague was very pretty yet kinda skeevy. We walked quickly! After we found our hotel it was time for bed. We had a big touring day in Prague coming up.
Oh, my cousin Dave was in Prague and stayed with us too. FUN!
