Marisa arrived around 10.45 a.m. She didn't want to get jet lag so we went touring immediately. No stopping!
We first went for a German beer and German food. YUM! We then walked and looked at the sites. The buildings are gorgeous here but she and I both agree, they could use a good cleaning. I think they're supposed to be the way they are though. Anyway, it is a beautiful city.
We toured the Staatliche Kunstasammlungen Museum and saw beautiful jewelry, gems, and other exhibits. We toured some more and of course I ate some more.
We noticed that Dresden is very clean and organized. The tranportation just makes sense and the hotel is very energy efficient. The people are very nice as well.
Marisa is at a rehearsal dinner now and I'm here at the internet cafe. We plan to wake up early and tour some more. She has the wedding at 1.00 p.m. so I will try to add photos at the time.
I'm excited she's here! Our Dresden adventure and Stockholm trip should be a great time!
