From Grado to Germany

I said goodbye to Radu and Denis and the others in Hotel Fonzari. It was not easy. They became wonderful friends...again, I know I will remain in touch with them.

My trip from Grado to Germany...
David drove me to the Venice airport the next morning. He had a flight a few hours before mine, so we decided to ride together.

Who is David? David was a student at the school last year. He is an advanced student and can speak Italian very well. He sounds like a local. He came for a visit, just like I did. David did the same as I, well almost, he changed his life and decided to sail from place to place, travel around the world and experience different cultures. He has been doing this for about a year now and I think he'll continue for another year or so. It was great to meet him!

Easy Jet...easy flight but why didn't anyone sit next to me?
So, David drove me to the Venice airport. I flew from Venice to Berlin. I flew on "EasyJet." It was easy except I didn't know it was open seating. I was in group A, which was good, because I boarded early but I didn't know about the open seating. I asked the flight attendant and he told me the drill. I found a good aisle seat and prayed that someone normal sat next to me. Well...no one sat next to me. I wonder why? All the other seats were taken (even middle seats) except for the seats next to me. I laughed a little but didn't care because I had the whole row to myself! I'm not going to wonder why no one sat next to me, I'll start to get a complex. I really do wonder why though!?!?!

Upon my arrival in Berlin...
When I arrived Berlin, I took a local train from the airport to the main train station in Berlin. The main station is huge, gorgeous, clean and very organized! It was beautiful. I bought my ticket from Berlin to Dresden. I had half an hour before my train left.

I was hungry...shocker...so I grabbed some food. I ate sushi. Yes, I had sushi in the Berlin train station. It was good.

The train was easy, 2 hours. The cab to the hotel was also easy. I went to bed early. Marisa was arriving tomorrow morning so I wanted to be ready for a day of touring with Marisa.
