My classmates and teachers...

Classmates...
Mia...
She's a senior a Northeastern in Boston. Another young friend for me....Leah....don't worry, you're still my favorite young friend. Mia knows a lot more than I do and we started on the same day. She helps me a lot, especially with my verbs and pronunciation. At times, it doesn't even sound like I'm speaking Italian....it's more Lester language.

All the boys like Mia, Bella Mia....when I post her picture, I'm sure all of you will make comments. I'll be sure to give everyone her email...just kidding Mia. Mia is very organized, bossy, smart and detailed....we call her "Monica"...she's Monica from Friends.

Mia and I have become very good friends. We spend almost everyday together doing things around Grado, enjoying lunch, dinner...we even went out dancing one night. Yes, I went dancing. Almost as scary as my Italian.

Tim...
Timmie, as Elisa says it. Timmie is a little private but once he has a few glasses of vino...watch out...the jokes start! It's great. Timmie has studied Italian in Milano already so he's the number 1 student in the class. I have enjoyed our conversations.

Matt...
Matt is in his senior year at the Naval Academy in Annapolis. He's also training for an Ironman so he's always out and about either running, biking or swimming. I had the bright idea of asking him if he wanted to run one morning and he had the bright idea of saying yes....so we ran. I ran my regular pace....9 minute mile....and poor Matt could have probably walked faster. I felt bad holding him up. oops. Ironman vs. Lester....not a good running match.

Sandi...
Saaaaandi....as Elisa says it. Sandi reminds me of Sandy from Grease...the nice, sweet, innocent Sandy. Sandi and I sit next to each other in class almost every day. We laugh a lot as we try to help each other. She is from Australia and is in Grado with her husband Fabian and their baby Leon. They picked up and left Australia to start a life in Italy. Fabian is 1/2 Italian with family in Italy. Let's hope Saaaandi can speak fluently soon! Oh, my favorite thing about Saaaandi is when she imitates Paris Hilton. She tries to do it in an American accent too. It´s the best.

Heather and Mark....
Heather and Mark came to class the 2nd week (settimana) and already knew more than I. I'm not sure how....but they did. Oh well.... They are both in the US Army and are in Grado for the summer. I'm sorry I didn't get to spend more time with them...they seem to be a lot of fun and seem like they'd be up for any adventure.

Elisa...
Elisa was my main teacher...4 hours a day for 10 days. She has the patience of a saint. She tries so hard to help me but at times, it just doesn´t work. She laughs a lot with us but at times, I think she is laughing at us. She is shorter than I am...believe it or not, and has a funny, outgoing, silly personality. She makes each day enjoyable.

Martina...
Martina was my tutor. Thank goodness for Martina. She would help me with my homework on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. It was one on one tutoring and it helped me a lot! I needed it. She was also funny and I know laughed at me a few times. She too had the patience of a saint with me.

What you are not the organized bossy one? I am confused. I think Italy has changed you.
