We met fabulous people....locals and visitors. Everyone loved the way of life in Costa Rica....Pura Vida...Pure Life!
Lynnie and I spent a lot of time with Nina (Panda) and Nicole. We had great adventures with them. Panda lives in NYC and I'm sure we'll hang out a lot when I get back. Nicole lives in San Francisco so we will all take trips to visit her. They surfed really well and we can't wait to take a surf vacation with them!
Rose, whom also lives in NYC, was back for her 2nd year at the camp. She knew the instructors and her way around the town. Rose stayed for another week of camp after everyone else went home. Lucky Rose!
Jana, another from NYC, surfed so well for her first time. She caught tons of waves. She and I went for a great run on the beach and spent a lot of time together while others had surf lessons. Jana and Lynnie had a good time at Babylon together...drinking and laughing.
Two cool chicks from NJ...Cristina...she's going to open her own hair salon in NJ! Good luck Cristina. Jessica...she's surfing her way through school. They were tons of fun as well.
We laughed a lot! Shawn (from Georgia...why he lives in GA and not LA again...not too sure????) and Mark (living in New Zealand now but also used to live in LA) made Lynnie and me laugh a lot. I also think they laughed "at" Lynnie and me too. Shawn and Mark were in the "surfing adventure" group because they were more advanced surfers. Never really saw them surf so they could be lying to us. ha! They surfed at different beaches and actually surfed Witch's. Crazy...but I'm sure a great time for them.
Meghan and Heather, from Cananda, did so well surfing! They loved the warm water. They had been traveling for about a month before arriving at surf camp. It was their last big adventure before heading back to chilly Canada.
Jimmy, a.k.a. Poppie, was an awesome surfer. It was his first time surfing and actually dropped into waves on his first day. He was so nice and treated all of us to a very nice dinner his last night at camp. Thanks Poppie.
